Question uncontrollable shaking of entire body

when i find myslef in a situatio which i find threatening for example a group of people intending to cause me some harm although i have boxed in the past and taken other forms of martial arts classes my mind races and i start to shake uncontrolably i have had this ever since i can remember and i was wondering if it was part of an axiety disorder i am always paranoid when i see gangs of lads and think they are going to attack me and my body goes into fight or flight whether i want to or not making me extremly nervous in seemingly harmess situations? could this be a hightened fear as i am also abit socially anxious and have suffered hocd i also never seem to laugh anymore which s qyite sad for me

Hi jj129785,

While I don't know if uncontrollable shaking is part of an anxiety disorder, I am not surprised that you would feel threatened or anxious around a gang on the street. It is normal to feel scared and anxious in potentially threatening situations. I'm not sure if I have an ideas about how to get your mind under control, except to try to use your best judgment about what is and what is not a safe situation, and then try to relax with your decision. I hope this is helpful.

jj129785 - you are having minor panic attacks and they are a part of anxiety disorders. Panic attacks are of varying intensities. Are you taking treatment of any kind ?
