Have I gone past ocd to just being paranoid about this?

Okay so a 4 or 5 weeks ago. I was peeing at a friends house(This was during a Bible Study), and a little bit got on the toilet seat. So I took a some toilet paper to wipe it off. But it looked like there was some blood or something red on the toilet seat, not my own. I'm not sure if the blood or what ever it was dry or not. I might have had a cut on the area or not, but I don't remember. Anyway, I'm worried. And the freaking site that I posted the original question is freaking down so I can't go back and freaking check. anyway, Could the small bit of blood gone though the toilet paper and gotten into a cut if there was one and get hiv from it? It was .25 to .5 inch in diameter when the blood was dried... I'd guess it was even smaller in diameter when it was wet. 2 of my friends from that Bible Study doesn't know of anyone in the Bible Study has HIV/AIDs, and doesn't think anyone does....

and

Okay, so i went to work 7 months ago(I don't work there now), and they made me shave. After I finished shaving, I stupidly took some toilet paper(it was still in the dispenser, though some of toilet paper was sticking out), and not knowing if it was used it or not. It didn't look like it used but I didn't pay close enough attention to know for sure. and got the shaving cream off my face, and yes there was more than one cut for the something to get into it. if there was something like guy stuff or girl stuff on there, would I have a chance of getting a std from it? I don't know how long it was setting there. There's was more than one cut for the something to get into it. if there was something like guy stuff or girl stuff on there, would I have a chance of getting a std from it? I don't know how long it was setting there. There's no sign of any other stds. I had shave because I work at mc donalds. The bathroom is coed that's why it could be either one. And don't say anything to me about getting checked anyway since I'm a virgin. Most of the reason is that I'm waiting till I'm married for sex. Though it really doesn't matter right now since girls don't like me anyway.

It's certainly possible that what you're dealing with is not OCD so much as a phobia. Have you discussed it with your therapist?

I probably will this week. We've been dealing mostly with my social anxiety the couple weeks because I was just mostly feeling sick from getting off pexeva, and getting wellbutrin was making me sick too. Anyway, my point is that was feeling too sick to really be worried about anything insane like this.

btw, Now I'm on Pristiq.

HIV cannot be transmitted through blood unless very fresh and directly in contact with a cut, and even then it is extremely unlikely. So you have nothing to worry about.

This is OCD. You need to stop questioning it, the more you question it the stronger the thought will be. Just accept it as OCD and move on.

Also read through the Phillipson stickey. It has a lot of valuable info.

pretty much the same reply as before on your other threads, to which you have not yet responded .... you need to step up to the plate and let us know you are listening to us and taking on board what we tell you and working on your ocd by putting some therapeutic responses in place rather than seeking reassurance ........ and yes I am prepared to answer your queries in this manner until you show us you are listening to us. Otherwise quite frankly you are taking advantage of the good hearted nature of the people on this forum, so ......

fwf,

I think it is time you replied and told us what you have learnt so far about ocd, how it works, how you should treat it, what you should do about it.

You have been on this forum for a long time and you have been given tonnes of advice so let us know how much you understand this disorder now and maybe you yourself can pinpoint where you are going wrong.

For a starter why don't you list your GENERAL (not specific) themes as you seem to repeat the same fears over and over you already know what they are. Then let us know how you think you should handle them in a therapeutic way going off the repeatedly given advice on this forum.
